Suffolk Craft Society – Exhibition – 13th – 21st November
10 Aug 2021
Suffolk is an inspiring place for creative people being well known for the number of visual artists and craftsmen who draw their inspiration from the coastline, the drama of the sea, rivers and estuaries as well as the rural landscape. The Suffolk Craft Society was formed in 1970 to promote and support the work of local makers and contemporary designers.
The crafts we represent are wide ranging and include ceramics, silversmithing, glass, an assortment of textile artists, printmakers, sculptors and furniture makers to name but a few. All our makers are selected by our membership for their skills and expertise which bonds the like minded makers together. As Members, we hope to develop our own skills further, learning and interacting with others.
In the coming show we are hoping to be joined by:
Terry Bryan – printmaker
Helen Dougall – local batik artist
Caroline Fish – ceramicist
Mary Wyatt – sculptural ceramicist
Susie Hines – jeweller
Ruth Holt, Jenny Nutbeem and Jean Fryer – textile artists.
