Workshop tutor Vicky Hallam is a botanical artist living and working in Cambridge, examples of her work can be seen on her website www.vickyhallamdesigns.com
A selection of natural finds, including shells, pine cones, feathers and seed heads, will be provided to draw on during this one-day course. We will practice observational drawing and learn ink techniques, including stippling. Coloured pencil techniques will be introduced including blending, layering and embossing to create a texture for feathers. Using tracing paper you will be able to plan your own composition and work on a finished drawing of your choice in a relaxed learning environment.
