Hexachordia Concert – Puddings and Pies: 13th September


The early music trio, Hexachordia (, presents” Puddings and Pies”, a rich menu of music and song washed down with poetry and verse.

Playing on lutes, viols, recorders, crumhorn and much more, the trio celebrates the nation’s obsession with food and drink over the centuries, ranging from medieval church ales brewed for fundraising to the lavish feasts and banquets of the Tudor royal court. Hexachordia sings rounds, catches and bawdy songs as well as playing a wide variety of Medieval and Renaissance music heard and played by the upper echelons of society.

The concert will be followed by light refreshments of the period.

Doors open 7:00pm, concert starts 7:30pm.
