In 1938, Bury St Edmunds Guildhall is taken over by a group of local volunteers that would become known as the Royal Observer Corps 14 Group. Their mission? To be the eyes and ears of the RAF, tracking and reporting the movements of the Luftwaffe through the skies of Britain.

Told through contemporary accounts, letters, newspaper articles, and more, Bring Out Your Dead present the fascinating true story of the Battle of Britain’s unsung heroes.

Bring Out Your Dead is a theatre company based in Bury St Edmunds.  Co-Artistic Director Greg Hanson, said: “Without the Royal Observer Corps the Battle of Britain might have gone very differently. It’s a privilege and an honour to be bringing the story of these quiet, dedicated people to life.”
