Capt Frank Bright DSO OBE – an extraordinary life in the service of Bury St Edmunds and his country. Decorated whilst serving in Royal Flying Corps during WWI.

Capt Bright commanded the 14 Group Observer Corps in WWII, based in Bury St Edmunds Guildhall defending East Anglia and beyond from air attack. This talk will cover his contribution to Bury St Edmunds and his role during the Battle of Britain.

Following the talk you will enjoy a tour of the last Royal Observer Corps Ops room and discover how this vital defence system worked.
