***Suitable for all levels***
Leading the workshop is Matthew Peace from Norfolk who is achieving great success introducing his special style of working with coloured pencils to artists of all levels and abilities.
During the workshop the focus will be on layering and blending coloured pencils using a solvent to achieve a smooth, painterly drawing without burnishing or blending.
Matthew will provide an Iris as the subject to draw, but student’s may bring their own reference image if preferred. Throughout the day Matthew will support students with one-to-one help if needed. There will also be Tutor demonstrations on how to apply coloured pencil to the paper by layering and then blending with the solvent as well as “tips and tricks” to improve the effect. Working from a reference photo to produce a line drawing, the workshop emphasis will be on learning how to colour the drawing.
The overall structure will be as follows

- A step-by-step process to creating a beautiful picture
