We’re gearing up for opening in Spring 2018, but in the meantime here’s everything you need to know about how to get to Bury St Edmunds Guildhall.

Make the most of your visit, whether travelling by foot, car or public transport.

The Guildhall is in the heart of historic Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk. Within easy walking distance of carparks, rail and bus transport links, all areas of the Guildhall and exhibits will be fully accessible.

Getting Here

On foot

Find us on Guildhall Street a few hundred meters further on from the Cornhall Exchange and Butter Market.

Coming by Car

  • 75 miles from London: M11, A505, A14 to Junctions 42, 43 and 44
  • 25 miles From Cambridge (A14) or Ipswich
  • 43 miles from Norwich

Where to park

Up to 3 hours: The Arc car park is 5 minutes walk through the pedestrianised shopping centre. Find it on Parkway South – the main through route to the south of the town. SAT NAV postcode IP33 3BA

Travelling by rail

The railway station is on Station Hill a 12 minute walk from the Guildhall.

Arriving by bus

Bury St Edmunds main bus station is 10 minutes walk from the Guildhall, on St Andrew’s Street North, and connecting with local services and National Express coaches.

All areas and exhibitions at the Guildhall will be wheelchair accessible by lift or ramp. Guide dogs welcome.
